As a pastry chef with a true passion for baking, I’ve always dreamed of creating mouth-watering delights that bring joy to those who taste them. With a career spanning many years, I’ve honed my skills in the kitchen, perfecting recipes and techniques to craft truly exceptional treats. In 2010, I took the leap and opened Whale Tale Bakery in the beautiful seaside town of Yzerfontein. Our little café quickly became a beloved gathering place, where friends and family would come together to share in the joy of freshly baked bread, sweet treats, and special occasions. We spent six wonderful years serving the community, catering for film crews, private dinners, weddings, and markets. In 2015, we made the move back to the city and shifted our focus to custom cakes, allowing us to pour our hearts into creating truly bespoke baked goods for our customers. Today, Whale Tale Bakery is a labour of love, where every bite is a testament to my passion for baking and dedication to our customers.
